About AssociationNATIONAL STATE ASSOCIATION FOR SOIL PROTECTIONThe Association was established on July 23, 1997 as a legal successor to the Specialized State Cooperative Association for Design and Constructions for Soil Protection. On May 3, 2002 the Association has become subordinated to the State Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre and enjoys the status of a state enterprise operating on a self-sufficient basis. The main tasks of the Association are to organize and coordinate activities in the area of soil protection, recovery and improving soil productivity. The types of activities are defined in the statutes of the Association approved by the State Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre. By orders of the Agency, the Associations fulfills its functions by carrying out design and construction of anti-erosion objects, soil recovery and re-cultivation, concludes contracts with subordinate companies for performing works approved by the Government under the Program for the Use of New Lands and Improving Soil Fertility. The Association includes 12 state territorial enterprises specializing in soil protection works. These companies are legal entities and are self-sufficient from an economic standpoint. Each enterprise has the necessary technologies for carrying out hydro-technical works and soil protection. Being self-sufficient entities, the enterprises may provide different services such as transporting goods, performance of agro-technical works. The Association has a duly licensed design office and is authorized to design projects for hydro-technical, anti-erosion, soil recovery and improvement works, planting of perennials such as orchards and vineyards. Every year the office designs over 20 such projects. |
